About Me
My name is Samantha, but I usually go by Sam. I’ve been doing hair since I was 18 years old and I’m now 38 (2024) you do the math so I don’t have to type that number :) People ask me if this is what I've always wanted to do when I grew up. Honestly, I had no idea what I wanted to do.
I went to cosmetology school through a high school program as a last-ditch effort to see if I liked, or was even good at doing hair. Turns out I ended up being pretty good at it. It took many years with tons of classes and practice, trial and error but I think I finally found my niche.
I love what I do. I do not consider it a job. I love that I have the ability to control how somebody feels about themselves in such a positive way. Hair is one of the first things you notice about yourself, and others notice about you. My job is to make sure that both you and others look at your hair and say, "Wow, I love it!".
As far as my personal life goes, I’m happily married with one stepson and two amazing dogs. I love all of them very very much. Family is and will always come first.
I enjoy gardening, interior design, and just hanging out with my dogs. Did I mention I love my dogs?!
I am an artist and an animal lover by nature. I like to think of myself as easy-going and laid-back, fun, loving, and I wear my heart on my sleeve. I’m a little bit of a perfectionist. Which is a curse and a blessing!
My repeat clients know more about me than most people do. I like to think of my salon as a safe space to talk freely about our personal lives. I’ve cried and laughed with my clients. I’ve even become close friends with many.
